Purpose 

We are committed to providing high‑quality continuing education that meets the needs of helping professionals. We address participant grievances promptly and fairly to maintain program integrity and satisfaction.

Scope 

This policy applies to all participants enrolled in CE activities offered by Heather Corbet.

Procedure - Submission of Grievance 

Participants are encouraged to submit grievances in writing within 30 days of course completion to [email protected]. Please include:

• Participant’s name and contact information

• Course title, date of completion, and instructor’s name (if applicable)

• A detailed description of the concern, relevant facts, and any supporting documentation

• The desired outcome or resolution

Review Process 

• Upon receipt, the instructor (or designee) will acknowledge the grievance and work with the participant to resolve the issue.

• Additional information may be requested from the participant or relevant parties to facilitate a thorough review.

• We strive to resolve grievances within 30 days of receipt; complex matters may require additional time.

Resolution 

• A written decision will be emailed to the participant upon completion of the review.

• If a grievance is upheld, appropriate remedies may include (but are not limited to):

  • Refund of course fees

  • Opportunity to retake the course at no additional cost

  • Reasonable modification to course content or delivery method (as applicable)

Appeals 

If dissatisfied with the outcome, the participant may submit a written appeal within 10 days of the decision to [email protected] with the subject line “Appeal.” The appeal will be forwarded for independent review by Heather Corbet, LLC. A final written decision will be issued within 30 days of the appeal’s receipt.

Confidentiality & Non‑Retaliation 

All grievances are handled confidentially and shared only with individuals involved in the review. Retaliation against anyone submitting a grievance in good faith is strictly prohibited.
